Dr Lynette Reece is a female Orthopaedic Surgeon based in Maitland, The Hunter Valley, NSW. Dr Reece has over 20 years experience and treats most forms of adult and paediatric orthopaedic conditions. Her consulting rooms are located at 104 George Street, East Maitland, NSW.
Dr Reece’s main areas of interest are hip and knee replacement surgery including revision procedures, knee arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release and many other bone and joint related issues. Ailments treated include degenerative conditions, arthritis, sporting injuries, work related injuries, fractures and soft tissue injuries.
Dr Lynette Reece is one of the leading Orthopaedic Surgeons in the Greater Hunter area dealing with various specialised paediatric conditions including DDH (Hip Dysplasia) and Talipes (Clubfoot). These types of conditions require the care and specific training which Dr Reece has obtained.

Dr Reece completed her Medical degree at Newcastle University and went on to gain her Orthopaedic specialist qualification through the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. After completing her hospital work in the HNEAHS, she then went to Adelaide to complete a Fellowship on Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital in 1998-1999.
Her training and experience is also utilised by various organisations where she gives talks and lectures to junior doctors in training, General Practitioners, Physiotherapists and other medical service providers.
Outside of her work, she is an avid cyclist and exercise enthusiast and, having lived in the Maitland area since mid 1999, is actively involved with several local community groups.
